Panama Cathedral
The differences between before and after are evident in the various items in which we intervene in the Cathedral of Panama!
We carried out the conservation and restoration of the main altarpiece in gilded and polychrome wood, dating from the 19th century; the side altarpiece in marble, evoking the Sacred Heart of Jesus; the funerary monument, by the Italian sculptor Giovanni Maria Benzoni; painting on the central canvas of the main altarpiece, invoking the Virgin of the Assumption; and oil painting on canvas depicting the Virgin of the Rosary, currently on display in the Chapel of Holy. And we also discovered and preserved the enormous mural painting hidden behind the main altarpiece, which would have been the first artistic expression inside the cathedral.
